A small photo project or just a photo collection? No matter, my online exhibition "Reduction" shows at least a departure from vast landscapes and the entire depiction of architecture. This may then possibly also be seen as the famous "red thread" of a project! External influences of well-known key figures from the photographic scene play a supporting role. In my case, their thoughts have probably fallen on very fertile ground. At least it was enough for my kind of photography to move away a bit from a very mass-produced travel photography. However, it will continue to keep a place in my hobby photography.

By reducing to the essential, I now create photos in which a regional reference no longer seems recognizable. Only the motive, their effect or the statement are in focus! This makes it at least for me a bit more difficult, because I had to say goodbye to my previously accustomed photographic vision but very much. Minimalism, however, as a forward-looking and art-oriented theme, has finally arrived in my hobby photography, which may also be oriented a bit more abstract.

Another positive effect of this story is that you can massively decelerate your workload when traveling. While it used to be a rush from place to place, I now occupy myself more intensively with the destination of my predominantly static desire. I let it take effect on me, take more time and try to concentrate on what made me pause at the first brief glance. Only with a second more intense look do I weigh whether my gut feeling was worthwhile to then capture it in a photo. Occasionally I try out ideas to test their effect in the photo. Not infrequently, such experiments end up in the trash again! Only in the course of the time and by permanent training of the seeing a tiny consciousness could adjust itself with me for such points of view.

Whether this is now regarded as a new stage in my photography, I leave gladly to your claims and opinions. For me it is at least another step on the way to a fulfilling and fulfilling hobby. Trying out, experimenting and the best possible realization of my own photos still has a much higher priority for me than a stressful and for me uninteresting hunt for a pole position!

Also this on-line exhibition addresses itself predominantly only to those, which would like to create photographs consciously or connect with the photography a more intensive experience. I attach great importance to the fact that they approach the individual photos on the same conditions and without external influences of third parties, in order to be able to develop a very personal feeling of acceptance or gladly also dislike. It serves only as a motivational boost or idea template for other photographers from the amateur camp. More does not have to be then also!

Of course, the photo - mainstream may also look around here. But I think that most of them will probably turn away bored and disinterested after a relatively short time. That is then just so...
